WooCommerce shipping troubleshooting

WooCommerce says “No shipping options are available”? Check these first.

This message usually means WooCommerce could not return an available shipping method for the customer’s current destination and cart. The fastest way to debug it is to verify the matched shipping zone first, then inspect the methods and conditions inside that zone.

Want to check the configuration instead of guessing?

Shipping Doctor for WooCommerce can scan common shipping-zone and Free Shipping problems and test what WooCommerce returns for a customer address.

1. Check which shipping zone matches the address

WooCommerce uses the first matching custom shipping zone. A broad country zone, or a custom zone set to Everywhere, can therefore prevent a more specific zone below it from ever being used. Review WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Shipping zones and place the most specific zones first.

2. Make sure the matched zone has an enabled method

A zone can match correctly but still return no built-in shipping option if it has no enabled shipping method. Open the zone and verify that at least one intended method is enabled.

3. Check Free Shipping conditions

Free Shipping may depend on a minimum order amount, a coupon, or both. Test the cart below, exactly at and above the threshold. Tax and coupon handling can also change the amount WooCommerce evaluates.

4. Check whether a fallback is intentional

If no custom zone matches, WooCommerce can use the built-in Rest of the world zone. If you intentionally do not ship outside your configured regions, having no fallback method can be valid.

5. Separate WooCommerce Core from carrier-plugin problems

If DHL, UPS, FedEx, PostNord or another third-party shipping plugin is responsible for the rate, the problem may live inside that plugin’s credentials, API response or private rule engine rather than WooCommerce Core.

A faster way to verify the setup

Shipping Doctor is a read-only troubleshooting plugin. It does not change your WooCommerce settings. Its Health Check can flag likely configuration problems, while Address Test shows which zone and built-in WooCommerce shipping methods are returned for a destination.
